Tapering Week
This is my week to taper for the San Jose RnR. I had my last long run on Saturday with A and her DH A. It was a good run, I'm feeling good on our time and that we'll be able to set a PR for this race. I'll do one more run this week along with the two spin classes I teach and then rest up for Sunday.

Reason 16783 to love your Library
Children's story time. Our library has evening hours for pajama story time. I love it! We've gone two weeks in a row. Last night was a show instead of story-time. It was the Happy Birds show! It was very entertaining and M had a ton of fun.
Dominican Republic Here We Come!
We book it, it's set. Our vacation is planned. Beach vaca here we come!
Coworker Etiquette
Dear co-irker,
We have an open office. Do you mind not blasting your music? Or even better, ask if I want to even listen to your music? What's even worse is when you turn on your music and leave for long periods of time subjecting me and our other coworkers to your music. Can't you use your headphones? I know you have them. I've seen you use them. What makes you decide one day not to use it? Sometimes I'm peacefully listening to my book on cd or listening to music with my headphones on. I hate to be disturbed by your annoying music.
Please be respectful of your office-mates.
Thanks,
Woman right across from you

Travel Woes
I know out of all the woes this would be the best to have but it's giving me a headache. We were planning on going to the Philippines with my parents in February 2008, vacation was cancelled and moved to Feb. 2009. But in August we find out my parents are cancelling the 2009 trip too so the hubs and I decide to plan for our own vacation.
Our first idea was a Greece Cruise in October. But then hubby's work made it that he had a business trip in the middle of Oct. And with planning it around M's birthday we decided for the two weeks before Nov. would be a great time.
Unfortunately the places we would like to go Nov is not a good time. We wanted Brazil but decided didn't want to do the visa stuff this time around. So Argentina/Uraguay came into discussion. But like a lot of South America, traveling between destination spots would be difficult. Picture 2 hour ferry + 2 hour bus ride with a toddler. Not our idea of vacation.
Then came Ireland. Too cold.
Then Honduras which was a really big possibility. We even had an itinerary planned out. But it's on the cusp of the rainy and dry season so we scrapped that place.
Then came Mexico, I suggested we just do a short vacation (long weekend) and move our big vacation to Jan or Feb and still do Honduras.
Then came Dominican Republic. I don't know if this place will stick just yet but the clock is ticking and we need to figure out something soon.

The best recovery after a long run
a swim. I know it's weird but Saturdays I do my long run and Sunday morning I go for a swim. I haven't had any aches or pains and I feel I recover much quicker when I do that. Plus there is nothing like being in the pool. :)
An Introduction
My name is tri-reader. I'm a wife, a mother, a full-time employee, an athlete, a friend, a reader...well you get the point. I decided to start a blog to spill my random thoughts.
